I'm a total home-bird - especially since having my baby - but when I travel, comfort is my top priority.
This outfit, for me, is a fail safe look that is comfy enough to wear travelling, that also has you looking presentable if you're going straight to meetings/shops/lunch as soon as you step off the flight!
I mean, who doesn't look good in a blazer...amiright? This long line beauty from Zara is perfect for wearing with skinny jeans/jeggings/pleather pants. It covers your bum and this is very important when you have to bend over to take your shoes off at security! The key to comfortable travel attire is light layering, a cosy scarf is essential (this River Island scarf is super soft!) to stave off that freezing cold air that seems to be solely directed at your seat.
Who doesn't love leopard print?...amiright? (ok I'll stop, I have been watching A LOT of Parks and Recreation and feel like I'm turning into Leslie Knope...I'm not even sure if she said it, but it sounds like something she'd say!)
But, as the very stern and slightly scary looking head of J. Crew, Jenna Lyons once said 'As far as I'm concerned, leopard is a neutral!' While I'm not advocating head to toe Leopard a la Bet Lynch...
It is very versatile and is a great way to add a bit of interest to an outfit. I owned a similar print top from Oasis a couple of years ago and got so much wear out of it. This Warehouse version is lovely and soft and a longer length, which I much prefer! These pleather leggings from Mango...i think that's politically incorrect...these faux leather leggings from Mango are brilliant! They have ponte on the back, which is like a thick, tightly woven fabric so it holds its shape really well and is super comfy; making these the perfect travel pant(s). Again, I had a pair from Karen Millen a few seasons ago and they were the business, I lived in them when travelling for work because they were so comfortable but looked smart too. If these ones are a bit shiny, go for a waxed or coated version, but I really think the ones with the ponte back are the best! I don't have a great pic of my sneakers, they're from Zara and are so handy.
I was looking for a light plimsole and these ones are perfect. They go with everything and don't make your feet look massive...and don't weigh a tonne so easy to throw into your hand luggage.
The suede crossbody bag is from Warehouse
Safe travelling all you jet-setters!
