For me, last week was all about Marks and Spencer... Starting with me being in store and seeing far too many things that I wanted to buy (Rosie H-W you have a lot to answer for!!), then there was the fantastic show in the RHK and, the following day I opened Irish Tatler to see a fabulous advertorial with the beautiful Nikki Bonass modelling the trend driven key looks from the AW15 collection. Oh and that AD! The one with the sheep??! Clever, fun and beautiful. They are certainly knocking it out of the park this season.
It's as if the celebrity endorsements of a decade: two of the most stylish women in the universe - Alexa AND Olivia - wearing the suede A-line skirt from last season, has given M&S the confidence they needed to go forth and conquer the trend/celebrity obsessed fashion world!
I've styled a few AW looks with some of my fave pieces from the collection...
Blanket capes are everywhere this season and M&S are stocking a wide range of colours and prints. They are so wearable, flattering and most of all...COSY!
If Alexa's double denim-ing then I'm in!
And look what we have here, fashion gal of the moment Louise Roe (OK, she's been around for years, but she has just released a book and was on our shores last week to launch Karen Millen's AW15 collection in Brown Thomas) in THAT Marks and Spencer skirt...AND it just so happens to be back in stock! At €279 it's pretty amazing that they have to specify that you can only purchase one at a time on the website...Talk about knowing a good thing!!
And my favourite piece of all...THIS COAT! How awesome is this coat??! The fabulous bottle green colour, the crombie style, the longer length, the contrasting collar...it ticks all the boxes. My face is one of pure confusion after being told a joke that didn't make any sense...
Worn here with :
Skinny tie scarf €12.95 Zara
Embellished shoulder fine knit top €39.95 Mango
Pleather leggings €39.95 Mango

And FINALLY I thought I'd throw in a #throwback from the AW10 M&S advertorial (5 years ago...EEK!) that I had the pleasure of styling for Irish Tatler back in the day! Photographed by Barry Mc Call.
