There are a few brands that I would LOVE to work for, Anthropologie is definitely one of them. I love their aesthetic, they do such a great eclectic mix of products especially in their home-wear section. I'm off to Bath next weekend, so I was having a quick look online to see if I need to persuade my travel buddies to make a quick pit stop...yes, yes I do! (sorry girls!).
I do love a good Halloween pun!
Ok I know I'm trying to catch up with the band wagon on this one, but I have finally conceded to the culotte trend. It would seem that the trend isn't going anywhere and they do offer a great alternative to skirts and trousers. They have become a style staple for the likes of Victoria and Olivia, so if that's not enough of a reason to try them, I don't know what is! It's all about how they are styled and I've found some Pinterest perfect outfits to inspire you to give them a go!
I think Warehouse has gone from strength to strength over the last few seasons. I always love their Autumn/ Winter collections in particular, but I do find some of their pieces that bit too expensive... So I was delighted to see that Image are offering 20% off for every reader with the magazine this month! Here are some of my favourite pieces from the collection...
I came across this website recently and would happily buy one (or two) of every piece in the place.
The owner, Holly Wick (an interior designer) has a fantastic eye for sourcing eclectic design. Unfortunately my house has temporarily turned into a créche (I say temporarily but who am I kidding, my house has turned into a créche full stop), so if it doesn't have flashing lights or sing nursery rhymes it doesn't make it past the front door...It's only now that I really understand the concept of 'The Good Room'!
I know I'm a bit late on this one...(sick babies are no fun and very time consuming) but here are some of my recent purchases to see me through the season...at least I hope they will because I've no money left!
The fashion world is in the thick of Spring 2016 Fashion Week at the moment. New York kicked it all off (as per usual) two weeks ago, London last week, Milan is finishing up tomorrow and then onto Paris for the last week.
My love for the polo-neck started from a very young age, as a child I was a big fan of the 'turtle-neck bodysuit', sounds gross, was hugely uncomfortable to wear, but looked super cool!
So I'm going to start doing the odd #TBT because I actually have quite a few shoots that I still love and want to share again! I'm going to start with this beauty that I styled for BT2 AW12. It was featured in Life magazine and was the last shoot I did before I joined Penneys. In my naivety I thought I would be able to still do a bit of styling as well as work in a manic buying department...that did not happen!
My sis in-law gave me a heads up that there's a 25% off discount card for River Island with Elle mag this month. 25% is not to be sniffed at, it would be rude not to buy yourself something pretty. I've had my eye on a couple of pieces...obvs!
For me, last week was all about Marks and Spencer... Starting with me being in store and seeing far too many things that I wanted to buy (Rosie H-W you have a lot to answer for!!), then there was the fantastic show in the RHK and, the following day I opened Irish Tatler to see a fabulous advertorial with the beautiful Nikki Bonass modelling the trend driven key looks from the AW15 collection. Oh and that AD! The one with the sheep??! Clever, fun and beautiful. They are certainly knocking it out of the park this season.
I'm a total home-bird - especially since having my baby - but when I travel, comfort is my top priority.
This outfit, for me, is a fail safe look that is comfy enough to wear travelling, that also has you looking presentable if you're going straight to meetings/shops/lunch as soon as you step off the flight!
